A hotel between Munich Airport and the city centre

Close to the airport without staying in no-man's-land
Classic airport hotels sit out in the Erdinger Moos – practical for departure, but there is little to do there in the evening. Hotel Königstein is located on Frankfurter Ring in the north of Munich: around 30 minutes by car to Munich Airport via the A9, and at the same time about 15 minutes to the main station on underground line U2.
That is the combination that counts for business travel: tomorrow morning's meeting may be in the north, the flight leaves in the evening, and in between you want neither an hour of commuting nor an evening alone in a hotel bar by a motorway junction.
Reception is staffed around the clock and the hotel bar is open daily until 01:00. Late arrivals after a delayed flight are therefore no problem – just let us know and your room stays reserved.

How far is Hotel Königstein from Munich Airport?
From Hotel Königstein on Frankfurter Ring it takes around 30 minutes by car via the A9 to Munich Airport (MUC). By public transport, take the U2 into the city and change at the main station or Marienplatz to the S1 or S8; allow about an hour. A taxi or transfer takes 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic.
Is there a shuttle to the airport?
Hotel Königstein does not operate its own airport shuttle. On request, reception will order a taxi for the time you need; please let us know the evening before, especially for very early departures. Alternatively, the U2 and S-Bahn connection runs frequently.
Can I check in very late?
Yes. Reception is staffed around the clock and check-in after midnight is possible. Please announce a late arrival briefly by phone on +49 89 350 36 0 or by email to info@h-km.de so that your room is securely held.
Can I leave my luggage after check-out?
Yes. Check-out is at 11:00; we store your luggage for €3.00 per item. That way you can spend the day in Munich without your suitcase and collect it before your flight.
Is the hotel suitable for crews and long-stay guests?
For regular stays and longer bookings we prepare separate rates. At 25 to 30 square metres with its own balcony, the business apartment is particularly suitable for stays of a week or more. Enquire at info@h-km.de stating your period and number of guests.
How do I get to Munich city centre from here?
Frankfurter Ring underground station on line U2 is within walking distance. From there it is about 15 minutes to the main station without changing; Marienplatz and the old town are reached with a short change or on foot from the main station.
